Under Provincial Regulation 391/21, all municipally-led Blue Box recycling programs will transition to the Producer Responsibility Framework as of January 1, 2026. As a result, starting in 2026, businesses, community facilities, and not-for-profit organizations will no longer receive curbside Blue Box recycling collection through the Producer led system.

As a business owner or organization representative, your input is important to us. The Town of Renfrew is currently exploring the possibility of establishing a separate recycling collection system specifically for properties that will no longer be eligible under the new framework.

We want to hear from those who will be affected to better understand your needs, identify potential service gaps, and work toward practical solutions to reduce the impact on our local business community.
