The Town of Renfrew is pleased to announce the appointment of Gloria Raybone as the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective January 6, 2025.
Gloria brings extensive experience in municipal and public sector management. She began her career at a public accounting firm specializing in auditing municipalities and other public sector organizations, including school boards, First Nations, health units, children’s aid societies, and public housing entities. After 13 years in public auditing, Gloria transitioned to municipal administration, returning to her hometown of Tweed as CAO/Treasurer in 2019.
“We are thrilled to welcome Gloria Raybone as the Town’s new CAO,” says Mayor Tom Sidney. “Her exceptional background and leadership experience will undoubtedly benefit Renfrew as we move forward with our strategic goals and initiatives.”
During her five years in Tweed, Gloria has successfully navigated challenges such as managing the impacts of COVID-19, addressing budgetary operational needs, and collaborating with neighboring municipalities on joint service boards. She holds an Honours Bachelor in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA).
“I am honoured to join the Town of Renfrew as its new CAO,” says Gloria Raybone. “Working with Council, staff, and the community to build on the town’s successes and create opportunities for growth is a privilege. This vibrant town offers so much, and I am excited for the work ahead and to make Renfrew my new home.”
The Town of Renfrew would like to thank Acting CAO Kelly Latendresse for her dedication and leadership during this transitional period.
