The Town of Renfrew and area offers the better of two worlds. The Town offers a wide range of experiences, products and services from quaint – country and unique heritage downtown with speciality stores to big box stores along O’Brien Street.

With free parking and a wide variety of shops and services, Renfrew’s historic downtown is worth exploring for a day or more. Stay at one of our many bed and breakfasts, hotels or local campgrounds and enjoy our community for more than just a day. The vibrant downtown core includes the historic and majestic O’Brien Theatre, NHA/NHL Birthplace Museum, Library, and historic Post Office. While visiting here Renfrew Farmers Market is located at the Fairgrounds and is a showcase of local produce and handcrafted gifts for all ages.

While you visit our vibrant downtown and explore our side streets leading to one of our many trails along the waterfront you will be able to experience the serine beauty our community has to offer.  The 3.2–KM Millennium Trail is a great place to take a leisurely walk and unwind amongst nature.

The community is situated in the heart of the Ottawa Valley and surrounded by pristine forests, farmland and waterways; Renfrew is friendly, affordable community to its nearly 8000 residents and we invite you to experience it during all seasons.

The community is the hub to a myriad of outdoor sports. The 147-acre, Ma-Te.Way Park that includes a community centre, splash pad, bbq pit, soccer pitch, ball diamonds, tennis and volleyball courts, and off the leash dog park is a great place to spend the day or a few hours with friends or family.
