Asset Management Plan

All municipalities in Ontario are required to prepare baseline asset management plans for core municipal infrastructure assets. An asset management planning (AMP) is an ongoing and long-term process that allows municipalities to make the best possible investment decisions for their infrastructure assets. This includes:

  • Building
  • Operation
  • Maintenance
  • Renewal
  • Replacement
  • Disposal

An asset management plan is a strategic document that provides a snapshot of current conditions and establishes a basis for future asset management planning and decision making.
