Skilled Operator/Landfill Operator II

The Town of Renfrew invites applications for the position of Skilled Operator/Landfill Operator II. 


Under the supervision of the Public Works Supervisor the Skilled Operator will be responsible for operating winter maintenance equipment to ensure safe and accessible roadways (including shovelling) during snow and ice events. Also responsible for maintenance, repairs, cleaning and general upkeep of Town infrastructure.  


Under the supervision of the Manager of Environmental Services, the Landfill Operator II has an important role in working with customers, spotting trucks, directing users, and handling, sorting, managing, compacting and covering materials received at the landfill using equipment that is provided.  


This is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, working as a Skilled Operator from November to April and transitioning to a Landfill Operator II working Tuesday to Saturday from May through October each year.

Skate Patrol Attendant

The Town of Renfrew invites applications for the position of Skate Patrol Attendant. The Skate Patrol Attendant plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all public skating participants. The successful candidate will monitor the skating area, ensure safety policies and procedures are followed, and respond appropriately and effectively to first aid situations when required. 
Public skating events are typically held twice per week from September 2026 to May 2027. Students will share the available shifts, which may result in approximately one or two hours per week. Additional public skating opportunities will be scheduled during Christmas Break and March Break.
