Clerk’s Department Offering Marriage Ceremonies at Renfrew Town Hall

Civil ceremonies will be conducted by a Marriage Officiant of the Town of Renfrew.(Renfrew, Ontario) – The Town of Renfrew Clerk’s Department is now offering marriage ceremonies.
Clerk Victoria Charbonneau says, “The first wedding at Town Hall took place on Friday, September 8th, 2023, and we are excited to offer this service for anyone looking to get married.”
Couples wishing to be married in Renfrew must have an Ontario Marriage License issued by the Town of Renfrew or another Ontario municipality.
Ceremonies take place at the Town of Renfrew municipal office located at 127 Raglan Street South in Renfrew, Ontario, and are generally held Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. subject to the availability of the Marriage Officiant. The fee for a marriage license is $125 for residents and $150 for anyone who is not a resident of Renfrew. The cost to have a wedding at Renfrew Town Hall is $250 that covers staff time and resources needed to facilitate the ceremony.
Two witnesses are required to be present during the ceremony and if you do not have a witness, the Town may be able to provide them for the ceremonies conducted at Town Hall. Up to 25 guests can be accommodated in the Council Chambers for marriage ceremonies and the couple is welcome to supply flowers and bring a photographer.
