Renfrew, ON:  The Town of Renfrew is pleased to announce the recruitment of Robert Tremblay who will assume the responsibilities of Chief Administrative Officer on June 27, 2022.  Robert, originally from Navan in East Ottawa, joins the town with 21 years of municipal experience, including with the City of Ottawa and most recently as CAO in Whitewater Region since December 2016.

Robert completed a Master of Public Administration in local Government and a diploma in municipal administration, and is a Certified Municipal Officer and Accredited Ontario Municipal Clerk.  He recently moved to the Town of Renfrew to take advantage of all the amenities and enjoys camping and curling.  He is looking forward to meeting the team and working together.

Robert has demonstrated effective and dynamic leadership skills in his previous position and Renfrew Town Council are confident in his abilities as he takes on this new role and leads the municipality forward.

“On behalf of Town Council, I am very pleased to welcome Robert Tremblay as our CAO” said Mayor Don Eady. “His leadership, style and range of experience will be a much needed and welcome addition to the Town.

“I look forward to getting started with the team at the Town of Renfrew, working closely with Council, staff and the community.  Having recently moved here, I know what the town has to offer and its bright future.  I know my skills, experience and training will be critical to our future success and addressing the challenges and opportunities ahead” said Robert Tremblay.
