Naming Rights Sponsors have been announced for the Ma-te-Way Activity Centre Expansion
Renfrew, Ontario, April 27, 2022
The Ma-te-Way Activity Centre Expansion will include spaces within the facility named after groups and organizations who have made a ten year financial commitment to the project. These include:
Ontario Power Generation: Multipurpose Room:
Kelly Homes Inc.: Lobby
McGrimmon Holdings: Fitness Centre
Renfrew Professional Fire Fighters Association: Ice Resurfacer
Renfrew Recreation Parks Fundraising Committee: Community Hall
Home Hardware: Gymnasium
Bonnechere Excavating Inc.: Expansion Rink
Deslaurier Custom Cabinets Inc.: Current Rink
myFM: Complex
The 76, 500 ft2 expansion is projected to open in early 2023 and also includes an elevated walking track, dance/yoga studio, youth drop in centre, administrative offices, an Off Reserve Indigenous Cultural Centre (Bonnechere Algonquin First Nation Community Cultural Centre) and four spaces leased by local businesses (myFM, Renfrew Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Centre, Child’s Paradise Day Care Centre and Ultimate Fitness).
