Ma-te-Way Activity Centre Expansion Future Tenants Announced

Four businesses to relocate to Ma-te-Way Park
Renfrew, Ontario, April 27, 2022
The Ma-te-Way Activity Centre Expansion includes three components that make it a truly successful community project. The Expansion will include four spaces leased by local businesses, an Off Reserve Indigenous Cultural Centre, and finally, financial support over the next ten years from more than a dozen groups and organizations.
The Expansion will be the new location for four local businesses including myFM, Renfrew Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Centre, Child’s Paradise Day Care Centre and Ultimate Fitness.
Bonnechere Algonquin First Nation Cultural Centre will be located on the north east side of the facility with its unique characteristics and components throughout including a medicine wheel, museum, and office space.
The 76, 500 ft2 expansion, projected to open in early 2023 also includes an NHL sized ice surface, an elevated walking track, fitness centre, regulation sized gymnasium, dance/yoga studio, multipurpose rooms, youth drop in centre and administrative offices. The expansion will improve access to cultural and recreational opportunities and better meet community needs.
