Office of the CAO and Town Clerk

The Office of the CAO and Town Clerk is responsible for recording and maintaining records of all resolutions, decisions, by-laws and other proceedings of Council and Committees and overseeing a broad range of responsibilities related to the function of the Town of Renfrew including licensing, registrations and the general administration of the Town.

Community & Recreation Services and Library

The Library, Community & Recreation Services department is responsible for cultural and recreation programming in the Town of Renfrew. The department oversees community programs, outreach, partnerships, events, diversity, equity and inclusion, the myFM Centre Recreation Complex, Ma-te-Way Park, public skating, facility booking, sports fields, museums, community gardens and the Renfrew Public Library (governed by its Board).

Infrastructure, Public Works & Engineering

Department responsibilities include general winter and summer maintenance, roads, stormwater management, sidewalks, multi-use pathways, streetscaping, and capital projects.

Development & Environment

The department of Development and Environment & Infrastructure is responsible for ensuring all development in the Town meets the standards of the Town's Official Plan, Planning Act and Ontario Building Code. Additionally, environmental services include, water and wastewater administration & compliance, sustainability initiatives, waste management and the landfill.

Finance & Client Services

The Finance & Client Services Department is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the Corporation of the Town of Renfrew and oversees all aspects of customer service. Department responsibilities include municipal taxation and billing, development charges, procurement, fees and charges, Service Renfrew including customer service, municipal budget, financial management, reserves, debt and investments.
